So the inspection report came while I was in therapy. And then 2 hours later I was on the call with the company and they provided the Credit Addendum. They're asking for $5k for repairs. Apparently there's a crack in the foundation.
Honestly, I already was preparing for a 40k net profit, so I'm not that bummed. But the initial shock was unnerving.
I am pushing back a bit but mentally preparing to take it I guess. Who cares at this point. This time I did try checking warranties. I even took a video when asked about the vent hood. Ideally, I'd be happy with them taking $3500 for a credit, but I'll take even just a $1 off.
Luckily, I have a Home Maintenance Fund that's just about this amount, so Yay Me for collecting. If nothing comes off, I'll just roll that into my Home Fund.
Engaged in some self-injurious behavior. It's baffling to me, but gave me more confirmation. Weird. Oh well, luckily we know there are no rules for this sort of thing.
But yeah, that's the update. I'm a bit more calm. Still can't believe I'm doing this in the Free Republic. Wow. I'm freaking amazing! Look at me solo-caring for myself! Talk about, mom, dad, chauffer, cleaner, carer, listener, friend, counselor, boo-boo healer, errand runner, appointment maker... CEO of my own life. It's tough!
