I feel happy!

I just do. I scorched my eyes reaching into a 450* oven. I got to stop doing that. But I cook so infrequently that I forget!

Maybe in my next life, I make it a rule to always wear protective eyewear in the kitchen. I'll keep a spare of glasses in the kitchen then.

Anyway, I feel good. Really good.

I had therapy with my Old Man Therapist and I didn't cry.

I got confirmation I needed that it's "not worthwhile" to go to Seattle to pursue the dudes that already rejected me.

I went to Starbucks and got my 2 straws so I could drink my sparkling juice with breakfast, if I wanted. Ha, Brain, I didn't even want to after my juicy hamburger. So I still have 4 juices and 2 straws for when the mood strikes.

I finally made my hamburgers! Still yummy. It wasn't the buns I wanted and I went to Target yesterday to get different buns. Still tasty.

I made the fries with cornstarch but this cookware is definitely not as good as the ones I had with the Landing apartment. Things stuck to the pan. I think I will try one more time with the second set of sweet potatoes. This time use larger chunks  and use the cornstarch in a bowl.

The burgers made me happy. I even wanted to go outside and go to Whole Foods to get some cookies, but it's supposed to rain in 20 minutes. 100% chance says the weather app. Well this other weather app is saying a closer to 50% chance. Hmmm.

And yesterday I rebraided my hair. I combed out a lot of tangles. Eventhough it hurt my arm immensely, the exercise wasn't that bad.

I think I just feel good because I'm full and happy; I've got 50% of my work task done; and I have a decision about Seattle. It's 'not worthwhile.'

Well, it's after 1p and I actually can't tell if it's raining or not.

Oh, I realized I like this neighborhood alot. In my wandering yesterday, I stumbled up on a vegan pizza place. And there's another Mediterranean spot I want to try before I leave that has everything dairy free. That will be fun.

I'm close to a place to get groceries and the specialty stores I like, namely TJ and Whole Foods. And if the weather gets too icky, I can always order groceries to be delivered. That's my basic needs covered. I even like my building. I like the rooftop lounge space and outdoor grill. I saw someone use it and that seemed cool. I would live here just in a higher up apartment so I could see the sun and maybe see if getting one facing a different direction would help. But this faces East, so I'm not sure.

Anyway, that's all for now. My lead keeps adding more stuff to my do list! If I get done early, I'm definitely getting a cookie. If not today, then definitely tomorrow!
