Somehow I spent 4 hours out of the house this morning running errands. I was mostly in a sour mood because I got hungry soon after I started. It was supposed to be a short run to the dump. Yes, I still have not settled on a solution for my trash.
If you don't know, we have to curb our own trash or pay someone to pick it up because I apparently live outside the city limits. I tried a third container site, and it was the experience I anticipated - just large garbage disposal containers for different types of trash. It seems doable. I just drove in, emptied, and could have driven out. But I wanted to read all the signs. So I did that.
I drove home ready to start my day of TV watching, but since the self-service trash removal seems doable now, I decided to try to find an outside bin to store trash. The easy choice is an outdoor trash container. However, that wouldn't really fit in my car, so I've been eyeing the horizontal totes that you normally use for indoor storage. I found one with wheels when I first moved in but couldn't get my life together in time to purchase. When I finally went to Walmart yesterday, they were nowhere to be found. Much like many items. I don't know when they stock the store, but when I first moved here, everything was well stocked. Now it was slim pickings!
I drove to another Walmart that advertised having about 10 in stock in different colors. Nada! Considering the online price advertised it at $5 (from $20), I'm willing to bet I'll try again.
So I left Walmart and headed to Spectrum to return their wireless router. The line was about 8-12 deep, and we were waiting outside. Returning this router is not essential to my life, so after awhile I left.
I was getting hangry at this point, so I tried to find some "Chinese near me." The pictures looked okay, but I couldn't figure out what to order. My default spicy foods were out of the question because I wanted to be able to sleep tonight.
I ended up with 2 boxes of cereal and cantaloupe from Harris Teeter.
Luckily, yesterday I made spaghetti w/ meat sauce and I invented a crockpot kidney bean stew to go over rice. I devoured the spaghetti when I got home; watched 3 scary shows on ID; then hung out on my computer for the last 3 or 4 hours. I'm obsessed with the Doctor of Credit site for bank bonuses. I'm at 10 accounts so far. I hope not to open anymore in May and take a breather from financial transactions for awhile, considering I'm mildly distracted with the pending new job and possible move.
But I did find 2 more bonuses for June that I might try for.
I've already received 2 payouts from the 10 accounts, for a total of $375!
I updated a few items on my calendars; spent some time absorbing my possible new budgets as well as my current house budget; and now I'm about to plop in front of the TV with a satisfying bowl of beans and rice and try to engage with some of these TV shows! Happy Saturday!
